This week marine research and conservation institute Blue World, who are based on the Croatian island of Lošinj, went to explore the waters on the west side of the island…

Favourable weather conditions meant the team at Blue World were able cover an area far out on the sea near the Croatian territorial border.

“We knew we could expect to see loggerhead turtles, but it is always great to see them so close and so many. They love this area. Besides sea turtles we also came across 3 groups of bottlenose dolphins and a lot of other beautiful and interesting sea creatures,” Blue World said on its Facebook page.
